Those little bottles of hand sanitizers you find at stores are convenient, but they’re often pretty small and don’t last that long. Before you know it, you’re throwing away the bottle and spending money on another one.
Therefore, it’s best if you make your own homemade hand sanitizer and use it to refill one small bottle as needed. Not only will this help save money and wastage, it also allows you to control what ingredients go into it.
Here’s how you can make your own hand sanitizer at home:
• 6 oz. distilled or filtered water
• 2 tablespoons aloe vera gel
• 10 drops each of cinnamon, rosemary, eucalyptus, and clove bud essential oils
• 20 drops of lemon essential oil.
Directions
1. Get yourself a clean hand sanitizer or liquid soap bottle.
2. Add the water, aloe vera gel, and the essential oils to the bottle. Place the lid on the bottle and shake well.
3. To use it, squeeze a few drops of the sanitizer onto your hands and rub them together. Repeat as needed.
