I might have to take my dog to see these guys - these transformations are incredible! The UK's Pet Fit Club has become a go-to place for whipping (metaphorically speaking) pet pooches and pusses back into shape. In fact, it's managed to bring 95 pets back from the brink over the past 10 years. Take a look at these amazing before and after pictures: |
Hooch: 15.2% of his body weight |
Hooch was a rather large Rottweiler when he was rescued by his owner, Leslie. She enrolled him to the Pet Fit Club and he's now lighter, leaner and meaner (he's a big softy really). |
Jemma: 15.5% of her body weight |
Little Jemma had a penchant for Sunday roast dinners and began to put on weight when her owner, Cara, had young children. The Pet Fit Club took care of her and she's back to a healthy weight once again. |
Kayla - 27.9% of her body weight |
Kayla is a cross-breed Mastiff-type dog who enjoyed tucking into pizza in the past. Her owner, Agnes, realized she was spoiling her and needed to get the situation under control, so she called the Pet Fit Club. |
Bob - 35% of his body weight |
Bob is a Beagle rescued from Romania by owner Kate. A combination of a lack of exercise and eating human food meant that he became obese rather quickly. He's got a way to go, but he's getting better. |
Jack - 31.2% of his body weight |
Jack was double his ideal weight when he started at Pet Fit Club. He's already lost almost eight inches from around his waist - an impressive amount for a small pooch like him! |
Amber: 17% of her body weight |
12-year-old Amber was once over 60% overweight, however following enrolling at the Pet Fit Club, she's now a much more active, playful version of her former self. |
Boycus: 6.8% of his body weight |
Boycus was a feline monstrosity at the start of the Pet Fit Club program, but he's much better now. He's got a way to go before he's back at his ideal weight, but he was one fat cat when he started! |
Bobby: 16.5% of his body weight |
Naughty Bobby gained notoriety for sneaking into neighbors' houses to steal their food, and had to be kept on a leash when out walking to prevent him from devouring people's picnic snacks. Look at him now though! |
Duke: 8.3% of his body weight |
Duke was twice his ideal weight before he began at the Pet Fit Club. He looks a bit more like a Labrador and less like an oil drum now. |
Daisy: 27% of her body weight |
Lazy Daisy had to be bribed just to get her to do a bit of exercise, but she impressed everyone at the Pet Fit Club by losing over a quarter of her body weight. |
Fudge: 15.9% of his body weight |
Fudge would eat absolutely anything - apart from lettuce that is! His love of food saw him balloon to an unhealthy size, but now he's back to his best once again. |
Harley: 20% of his body weight |
Harley used to be mistaken for a panda by Chinese sightseers visiting the area where he lives. His weight problems started when owner Lisa neutered him. He lost one-fifth of his body weight at Pet Fit Club. |
