The Amazing World of Ants

Ants have been on this planet since the Cretaceous Period, thriving for 100 million years before they got their chance to ruin your picnic. They not only survived the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs; they spread to conquer pretty much all of the worlds, except Antarctica. Today, up to 10 quadrillion ants are alive at any one time. Their total weight is about the same as all 7.4 billion humans put together. They run much of the terrestrial world as the premier channelers of energy, soil turners, and dominatrices of the insect fauna. Watch the documentary below, narrated by David Attenborough, to get a fascinating glimpse into the amazing world of ants.
