1. One accidental text message saved a child’s life
When this girl wanted her friend's advice for a dress, she sent the message to a wrong number. On the receiving end, Tony, a father of several children was surprised but kindly replied: 'I believe this message was intended for someone else. My wife isn't home, so I couldn't get her opinion, but the kids and I think you look stunning in your dress! You should definitely go with that one!"
He also attached a photo of his children giving the dress a 'thumbs up!' But the photo of the kids does not include Tony's youngest son, who was in hospital at the time. Having learned that Tony's son has cancer, the girl, Syd, shared his story on Twitter enabling her followers and other Twitter users to collect about $3,000. It is incredible to think that one kind and sympathetic reaction to someone's mistake ended up saving a child's life.
2. Workers worked overtime so that their colleague could take care of a sick son
36-year-old Andreas Graf, a worker from Marburg, Germany had a terrible period in his life. His wife had died and his son was diagnosed with leukemia. As his hands were tied, the man wrote a dismissal application to look after the child. Instead, a staff member from the human resources department shared Andrea's story with his colleagues, persuading them to help. So, they decided to share Andreas' shifts among themselves, so that he would not have to resign. His colleagues had worked overtime for 3,264 hours - about 400 working days, enabling him to be compensated for as paid leave.
3. The feat of an adoptive mother
Oksana was born with congenital malformations of the lower extremities, which later had to be amputated. She changed three orphanages and survived hunger, beatings and also, rape. She was saved by a woman named Gay Masters, a speech therapist from America. It took her two years to collect all the documents to transport the 6-year-old girl to the US. She gave her adopted daughter an excellent upbringing, instilling in her a love of sports.
She supported her daughter in everything and at the last Paralympic Games in Pyeong Chang, she won a silver medal in a biathlon sprint and a bronze in a ski race. As for what Oksana had to say about her mother: 'She gave me my life'.

Auntie Vera wrote fairy tales and used her pension money to fulfill her dream, which was to publish a beautiful hard-cover book with illustrations of her daughter who had died of cancer. When the story got out, it deeply touched many Russians who within one week, collected approximately $8,700 to make her long-standing dream come true.
