Missing the snow? These snowball cookies will be gone even faster than the real snow on your roof. The clash between soft and creamy dough studded with crunchy walnuts is what makes them a true delicacy.
Method of preparing the cookies:
-
Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet.
-
With the help of an electric mixer, cream the butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
-
Add the flour and salt until you have a kneadable dough. Knead in the walnuts.
-
Using an ice cream scoop for even measure, make balls from the dough and arrange them on the lined baking sheet, 1 inch apart.
-
Bake 12-15 minutes. Roll the balls in the remaining 2 cups of powdered sugar while still hot and let cool. Once cooled, roll again in the sugar and serve.
Chef's Tip:
These snowballs, unlike actual snowballs, will last you up to a week in the fridge.
