There's nothing quite like bite-sized foods. Be it finger food, snacks, starters, or even sweet treats, we just love our food fun-sized, regardless of age. These homemade bagel bites will tend to just that.
Prep Time
1 hour and 45 minutes
Method of preparing the bagels:
-
In a mixer bowl, combine the water, sugar and 2 tsp salt. Add the yeast and wait about 5 minutes until bubbles start to form.
-
Attach the dough kneading hook, add the butter and start the mixer on low speed.
-
Add the flour gradually, 1/2 cup at a time. You may need to add an extra 1/2 cup.
-
Turn the speed up to medium and keep kneading 5 more minutes until your dough is firm.
-
Take the dough out, grease the bowl with the vegetable oil and put the dough back in. Cover the bowl with a towel and let sit in a warm place until the dough doubles in size- this should take about 30-45 minutes.
