We love clashing flavors. A good contrasting dish, with flavors that don't seem to belong at first, simmering in the oven for over 2 hours to make a whole new flavor you've probably never tried before.
Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease a baking dish with 2 tbsp melted butter.
Arrange the cabbage wedges in an even layer inside the dish, pour 1/4 cup water, brush them with the remaining melted butter and season with salt to taste.
Cover in foil and bake for an hour.
Flip the cabbage wedges. Add the apple slices to the pan and brush the vinegar over everything.
Cover again with foil and bake for another hour.
Remove the foil, turn up the heat to 425°F, brush the jam over everything and return to the oven, for another 15 minutes bake.
Chef's Tip:
This dish can easily be turned vegan by swapping the butter with margarine/coconut oil.
