Chinese Meatballs on a Stick
Ingredients for Chinese Meatballs on a Stick:
Ground pork - 3/4 pound (340g) (or turkey)
Soy sauce - 2 tbsp.
Oyster sauce - 1 tbsp.
Garlic - 1 tbsp. (minced)
Ginger - 2 tsp. (peeled and minced)
Ground cumin - 1 tsp.
Ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp.
Cilantro - 1/2 bunch (minced)
Scallion - 1 (thinly sliced)
Salt - 1 tsp.
Black pepper - 1 tsp. (freshly ground)
Method of preparing the Chinese Meatballs on a Stick:
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl, using your hands, and then form 12 small even balls. Pour 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a skillet placed over medium-high heat and add the meatballs next to each other, without overlapping. Cook until browned all over.
  2. Transfer the meatballs to a plate lined with a paper towel, and place them on a stick (1 to 2 pieces on a stick). Serve alongside some sauce. Suggestion: Sweet and sour chili sauce.
