Why buy hummus from the store when you can easily make it at home in just 10 minutes? Homemade hummus is very easy to make and it tastes much better than the ones you buy from the store. This recipe is super simple - no fuss, no extra flavors. Just good, classic, hummus. Enjoy!
Pour all the ingredients (except for salt) into the food processor and pulse until mixed. Add salt to taste.
Pulse until it is in your favorite texture (smooth/chunky). Garnish with paprika, parsley, olive oil.
For an authentic Middle Eastern experience, you can enjoy your hummus with raw onion wedges or pita bread.
Chef's Tip:
If you buy dried beans and want to cook them, you'll need to sort through them, wash them, and soak them overnight. Then cook them and let them simmer for several hours until they're soft. You can also let them cool in the water for extra softness. For the creamiest hummus, add 1 tbsp baking soda for every 1 lb beans, both to the soaking and cooking water.
