Classic Barbecue Sauce

The barbecue is the staple of many holidays around the world, including Memorial Day and 4th of July. And while many grilled meats are perfectly delicious with the tiniest bit of salt and pepper, a good sauce can upgrade any barbecue to a divine status.

Prep Time 35 minutes

Serves: 6

Difficulty Level: Low

Ingredients:

Ketchup - 2 cups

Water - 3/4 cup

Apple cider vinegar - 1/2 cup

Brown sugar - 1 tsp.

Ground black pepper - 1/2 tbsp.

Ground mustard - 1 1/2 tbsp.

Salt - 2 tbsp. ( )

Method of Preparation:

Bring all ingredients to a boil in a saucepan.
Simmer uncovered over low heat for about 30 minutes while stirring frequently.

Chef's Tip:

This sauce will last up to 4 months in a tight container in the fridge.
