When you have to make a fancy-looking appetizer in minutes, bruschetta is a go-to option for any scenario. This specific bruschetta recipe is one of our favorites; it features a generous dollop of ricotta topped with salty and smoky prosciutto and sweet fresh figs.
Method of preparing the Bruschetta with Prosciutto:
Preheat the oven to 400°F(200°C). Cut the bread diagonally into 15 slices, 1/2-inch thick each.
Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush both sides of the bread with olive oil.
Bake the bread on the top rack until golden.
Transfer the bread to a large plate. Use about a tablespoon of the ricotta to butter each baguette slice. Place a nice slice of the prosciutto on top of the ricotta, drizzle a little olive oil on top, and place about 2 slices of fresh fig on each bruschetta.
Serve fresh. Garnish with fresh herbs if you'd like.
