Add the olive oil, anchovy filets, onion, and garlic to a large skillet. Sauté the ingredients over medium heat until the anchovies have dissolved and the onions are soft.

Add the crushed tomatoes to the skillet as well as the basil, capers, sliced olives, and crushed red pepper. Stir to combine and let the sauce come up to a simmer. Turn the heat down once it begins to simmer.

Cook the pasta. Reserve about 1/2 cup of the starchy pasta water. Drain the past in a colander.
