Peppermint Bark

Peppermint chocolate bark is a classic Christmas dessert, and it's so easy to prepare too! Make this delicious treat for the holiday season, it makes an excellent snack and a thoughtful handmade stocking stuffer.

Peppermint Bark
Ingredients for Peppermint Bark:
Candy canes - 8 (crushed)
White chocolate - 12 oz. (chopped)
Dark chocolate - 12 oz. (chopped)
Peppermint extract - 1/2 tsp.
Method of preparing the Peppermint Bark:
  1. Line a cookie sheet with baking paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and mix in the peppermint extract. Then pour the chocolate onto the lined cookie sheet and spread it out with a spatula.
  3. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes or until it's completely set.
  4. Melt the white chocolate and pour it onto the dark chocolate in an even layer.
  5. Sprinkle the crushed candy canes over the chocolate bark. Return the chocolate to the fridge for 20 more minutes.
  6. Remove the chocolate bark from the fridge and break it up into bite-sized pieces. Enjoy!
