Red Velvet Hot Chocolate

You don’t have to wait for Valentine's Day to prepare something special for the people you love. Just surprise your loved ones with a warm, comforting and delicious drink in red that proves that there isn’t only black and white in chocolate milk...

Prep Time 5 minutes

Serves: 4

Difficulty Level: Low

Red Velvet Hot Chocolate

Ingredients for red velvet drink:

Milk - 4 cups

Sweetened condensed milk - 13.5 fl oz.

White chocolate - 1/2 cup

Chocolate chips - 1/2 cup

Vanilla Extract - 2 tbsp.

Food coloring - 4 drops (red)

Whipped cream - for topping

Method of preparing the red velvet drink:

Place all the ingredients except the whipped cream and food coloring, into a medium-sized pot and stir well. Stir until the chocolate melts.
When the drink is hot but not boiling and the chocolate melts completely, mix the food coloring in quickly and carefully until the drink turns red.
Pour the drink into mugs and top with a good helping of whipped cream.
