Astronomy Photographer of the Year: 18 Stunning Finalists

Have you ever wondered what’s beyond our world? The Royal Observatory of Greenwich in London has unveiled its shortlist for the 13th Astronomy Photographer of the Year contest, and the images are absolutely spellbinding. 

The competition has received more than 4,500 entries from 75 countries, and the winning images are expected to be announced in September. Meanwhile, you can scroll through the outstanding shortlisted images. From the Northern Lights in a remote region of Sweden to an immaculate portrait of Saturn, each photo shows just how rich our universe is.
