Visit UPS Dogs to See Who the Drivers Meet!

The United Parcel Service delivers packages all over the world, so it’s perhaps no big surprise that its thousands of drivers encounter plenty of dogs as they go about their day’s work. The company thought it would be a cool idea to let its drivers document the four-legged friends that they meet on their rounds, and UPS Dogs, the Facebook page, is the result.

The page has over 500,000 likes on Facebook, as well as over 600,000 followers. Its description says: “UPS Drivers deliver packages all day long. During that time many dogs are met, good and bad. If there is time during the day, they snap a shot and send it in."

It was set up in 2013 by a UPS driver working in West Virginia. Sean McCarren said that dogs tended to pop up as soon as he delivered to a stop, adding that it feels like dogs on his regular route become part of his family.

Some drivers even leave boxes of treats in their vans to give to the dogs when they arrive at their destination. The UPS Dogs page first began with contributions from drivers in the West Virginia area, then just snowballed from there to have the global reach that it does today. Sean has even made real-life friends in far-flung parts of the world as a result of starting it.

During the four years since it was set up, UPS Dogs has been a source of plenty of fluff, cuteness and numerous emotional stories. One of the drivers that contributes to the page even adopted a pit bull named Leo after his owner passed away.

Other creatures, such as cats, deer, donkeys and even pigs all attempt to put themselves into the limelight, but regardless of their valiant attempts, it’s dogs that reign supreme in this corner of the internet. Click here to check out the page today!
