A Little Mouse Village That’s Full of Charm (16 Pics)

Wildlife photography often leads to extraordinary discoveries, and for Simon Dell, it turned into something magical. While sitting in his Yorkshire garden one day, camera in hand, he noticed a small mouse peeking through the freshly cut grass. The curious creature soon became the inspiration for a unique project—a miniature mouse village.

Meet George—easily recognizable with his adorable cut ear and charming personality

What started as a tiny village is quickly growing into a bustling town.

Concerned about nearby predators, Simon decided to build the mouse, whom he named George, a safe and cozy home. Using logs, moss, and even a coconut shell, he created a whimsical little village in his garden. This heartwarming story captures the beautiful intersection of creativity and compassion for nature.

The Log Pile Inn is the perfect spot for a mouse to enjoy a refreshing drink after a busy day.

Starting with a single log pile to protect a mouse named George, the village now boasts pubs, bookstores, bakeries, and even a train station—all handcrafted from recycled materials.

The mice even have their own tiny Stonehenge on a mossy hill for some magical gatherings.

Over the years, the village has become a bustling mouse community, with generations of mice like Mildred and Mini calling it home. Maintenance remains a challenge, as moss, brambles, and wear and tear demand constant attention. Yet, Simon’s dedication ensures the village remains a magical haven for its tiny residents and a source of joy for his grandchildren and himself.

Bramble bushes thrive near the log pile, and every summer, the mice can’t resist the juicy berries.

The first log pile home began at the base of a tree where George first made his appearance.
