Sometimes, art depicts perfection so beautifully that it inspires us to grow and be better. This is the specialty of Ira Volkova, a painter from Ukraine. The Kyiv-based artist is formally trained in painting and her large-scale still-lives of beautiful blooms will captivate you with their precision and attention to detail.

Most of Ira Volkova’s paintings feature an arrangement of a couple of flowers depicted in airy pastel tones against a simple background that brings out the subtle details and shapes of every petal and every bloom. “Each of my paintings is of the ideal,” Volkova said on her Instagram page.
