Summer symbolizes different things for each of us: some of us see it as a great opportunity to sit in the pleasant sun, others can’t wait to hit the beach, and there are those who are just waiting for an opportunity to sit in a cafe and gaze calmly at the busy streets. Howard Behrens began drawing as a child. At the age of 8, he received a brush and paint as a gift, and since his parents could not afford to buy him toys or go out for expensive entertainment, the page and the brush turned into a stage where he learned to express all the places he wanted to visit and all the experiences he wanted to go through. Since then, Behrens fell in love with painting and had not stopped painting for a moment, and the colorfulness that accompanied his childhood paintings enabled him to express in his later works all the colors that characterize the summer season.

Norman Rockwell was a popular American painter who worked for the Saturday Evening Post for over 40 years. His illustrations were first published in a children's book, and throughout his life, he has created more than 2,000 original works. When asked what was behind his works, Rockwell replied that he was simply trying to share the most beautiful moments of his childhood, as he remembers it.
Raymond's postcards often consist of memories of his childhood in the country during the summer. The painter was born in 1882, and unfortunately very little is known about his life. All we have left now are these wonderful moments, described with humor and grace as only children can experience.
Moline enjoys painting in various styles, and she testified that while some of her works are characterized by realistic style, others, such as those presented before you, are a mix of what she remembers from her childhood and the life she decided to create for the animals that star in them. Her interest in animals led her to focus on how the summer looked from their point of view, and there’s no doubt that the results bring joy and a smile to all who see them.
Chernigin’s work is easy to identify, thanks to his unique style, which combines light colors with a delicate and eye-catching technique.
