Swede Christian von Koenigsegg is a different kind of guy. In the early 1990s, with no car-building experience whatsoever, he decided that he wanted to create his dream car from scratch. Koenigsegg Automotive was born in 1994 as a result. The incredible car that you're about to see below, the Regera, is the fruit of more than 20 years of evolution in pursuit of creating the ultimate supercar. Feast your eyes on this Swedish stunner:

The Regera's interior features quilted leather, machined aluminum and bare carbon fiber.

The production-ready Regera on its stand at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
Powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 motor together with a further three electric motors, the Regera produces 1,500 horsepower.
The result of that power output is that the car can go from 0-250 mph (400 km/h) in 20 seconds flat!
Here's another look at the car's beautiful interior. The seats are made with memory foam.
The Regera features Koenigsegg Direct Drive, which does away with a conventional transmission altogether.
It uses a hydraulic coupling to convert torque at medium to high speeds during fast acceleration.
Another world first is the car's top-mounted active rear wing. It maximizes down-force and keeps the Regara pinned to the road.
The chrome part, which looks like a conventional exhaust, pictured below, is actually cooling for the car's electric motors.
The boss's car is finished in the same color and wears the same wheels as the one below.
A Koenigsegg signature, dihedral synchro-helix actuation system doors, feature on the Regera.
Imagine walking up to this thing each morning!

This ghost emblem was gifted to Koenigsegg by the Swedish F-10 "ghost" fighter jet wing, which vacated its building ahead of the car manufacturer's arrival in 2002.
Fancy one? The Regera costs a cool $1.9 million.
