Georgia O’Keeffe: An American Art Pioneer

Georgia O’Keeffe was a 20th century American artist from Wisconsin, famous for painting series of large flowers and barren landscapes. She was extremely prolific and her distinct voice became part of the American art mythology, helping pioneer the modern art scene. Strangely enough O’Keeffe didn’t particularly like flowers. She painted them because she said they were cheaper than models and didn’t move!
