Giant sequoias are the world's largest trees. They are simply impossible to miss, and show us how big life form can grow to, in our world. They grow to an average height of 50–85m (160–279ft) and 6–8m (20–26ft) in diameter. Record trees have been measured to be 94.8m (311ft) in height and over 17m (56ft) in diameter.
